Possession 10 - Meetings
The first day of school for me was not a good first day of school, far from it in fact. Unlike all the other kids who got to start out their first day of school together, I started mine alone nearly two weeks after. Some people might think that two weeks really isn't all that long.
Truth be told, it is.
It's long enough for students to get used to the layout of things, it was long enough for them to remember where their classes were, it was long enough for them to make friends and fall into their little cliques.
It was long enough that all the students noticed the new girl.
On my first day, I didn't feel like dressing up. What on earth would have been the point? Wearing pants hurt for obvious reasons and the lack of skin on my legs. So I just wore a long light blue skirt, white tank top with a jean jacket. My hair was in a loose braid that was wrapped around the front of my shoulder, with sloppy loose strands of hair falling out over my face.

Found and Lost
The first thing I was aware of was blinding light. Not the soothing bright light of the sun on my face or the calming light of a waking dawn. It was the bright florescent light of some facility.
The air smelt stale and filled with rubbing alcohol, laced with the cold scent metal and cotton sheets.
My body felt numb and heavy, like there was a massive weight pressing down on my chest.
I hadn't even opened my eyes and yet the light wouldn't release me from its pain. The usually warm dark colors behind my closed eyelids were now bright pinkish red. I tried blinking a few times and letting my eyes attempt to take on the full force of the light directly above me but all it did was make my eyes water.
I tried to lift my arm to block it out but pain shot through my shoulder and chest.
My eyes squeezed shut and I wanted to scream.
I heard an agonizing moan and realized it was coming from me.
